Ron Cihuátan Cinabrio is a 12-year-old Rum that was aged in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels right there in the beautiful Cihuátan valley, El Salvador, then bottled at 80 proof. It celebrates the Mayan god of the sun Kinich Ahau who was traditionally celebrated with the color red, extracted from cinnabar (cinabrio) ― hence the name and the red color scheme of the packaging.
It's a rich rum with notes of plum, pistachio, burnt orange peel, sugar cane juice, and starfruit. The creamy palate leads to a smooth finish with a touch of sweetness and oak.
